Serrano y Sanz utilized the 1555 version for this edition and added pertinent and previously unpublished documents. The original edition (Zamora, 1542) of the odyssey of Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca (ca. 1490-ca. 1556) was the first recorded journey by Europeans across Texas. Cabeza de Vaca’s book is the earliest account of Texas and its Native American population. ($150-300)
