Amerika” [inset key at upper right] “Vereenigde Staten…Mexico” [inset key at lower left] “Guatimala of Middel.-Amerika.” N.p., n.d. [Netherlands, nineteenth century, after 1836 and before 1867?]. Original ink, watercolor, and wash on laid paper, overall sheet size: 41.5 x 53.5 cm; border to border (portions of map extend beyond borders]: 39.5 x 40.8 cm. Two short repairs at margins (no losses), clean split at center where formerly folded (no losses), generally fine and attractive.

     Texas is shown as an independent political entity in a slightly squashed Emory conformation, which would date the map after 1836 but before Annexation in 1845. Alaska is shown as Russian America, as it was called until 1867.
