[i-v] vi-xiv, [2], 1-299 [3] pp, frontispiece, photographic plates. 8vo (21.8 x 15.5 cm), original plum cloth with gilt cross on upper cover.  Binding worn and spine light, hinges cracked, interior fine.  Title with purple oval stamp of Society of Jesus, Albuquerque, New Mexico.

     First edition, second issue (with the added 8-page appendix). Eberstadt 120:179: “Printed on the local mission press by resident Indian boys. Very few copies were printed. An important contribution to the history of the West.” Howes S55. Laird, Hopi Bibliography 2304. Wynar 8983.
