Pingenot: A handsome color plate book on the Black Hills, published hurriedly after gold was discovered in the area, and before Custers last fight. The work contains much on the Dakotas, Wyoming, Montana, and includes a discussion of gold, miners, Indians, and routes. The plates detail attractive and interesting views with the folding map entitled "The Black Hills of the Cheyenne."
