Terms and Conditions of Sale

TERMS: All items listed are subject to prior sale. Customers are requested to send payment with order. Institutions may receive deferred billing upon request.

SALES TAX: Texas residents must pay appropriate State Sales Tax unless we have a Texas Sales and Use Tax Resale or Exemption Certificate on file with Dorothy Sloan--Rare Books.

SHIPPING & HANDLING: For delivery within the USA, Dorothy Sloan-Rare Books charges $6 for the first volume and $1 for each additional volume. We ship via US Postal Service (signature confirmation) or United Parcel Service ground. PLEASE add shipping fees when you order! If you do not, we will have to invoice you separately for shipping charges, and delays will result. For deliveries outside the USA, please email rarebooks@sloanrarebooks.com or call 1-512-477-8442 or fax 1-512-477-8602 for options and costs.

RETURNS: All items are guaranteed as described and may be returned within two weeks of receipt for any reason, provided that they are returned in the same condition in which they left our premises. Please notify us in advance if you wish to return a book.

PAYMENT: We accept VISA and Mastercard; or we can hold the order for one week pending receipt of your check or money order in US dollars drawn on a US bank. If you are uncomfortable transmitting credit card information via email, please call 1-512-477-8442 or fax 1-512-477-8602.
