SIGSBEE, Charles D. Letter of Rear Admiral Charles D. Sigsbee, Commanded the Battleship "Maine" Blown up in Habana Harbor Cuba [typewritten title-page]. N.p., [ca. 1921]. Autograph letter signed from Sigsbee to Wall (2 pp., 8vo, on stationery of the Metropolitan Club, Washington, D.C.), dated February 11, 1910, with 5 etchings, 4 signed by Wall. Brown and green inks. 28.5 x 21.5 cm. (11-1/4 x 8-1/2 inches), wove paper, tissue guards. Original hand-bound black cloth over grey mottled paper-covered boards, gilt title on spine.

     Another unique production, gathered and bound by Wall, with Sigsbee's letter regarding the Maine monument, etchings (portrait of Sigsbee, illustration of the "Maine," historical statement, text on Sigsbee, and printer's illustrated device), and two typewritten leaves (title-page and explanatory note). 70000029
