Streeter Sale 2114 (second edition, 1879).  This is the Strahorn Western guide that brought him to the notice of railroad magnate Jay Gould and launched Strahorn’s career as a railroad publicist. Unlike his other guides, this one starts considerably east, in Omaha and Nebraska, and then proceeds to cover the West in somewhat meandering order, first treating Wyoming, then Colorado, then Utah, and finally Montana and Idaho.  He concentrates considerably on mining possibilities, stock raising, and agriculture.  He concludes with an enthusiastic discussion of Yellowstone National Park .  ($100-200)
