Lithograph map in original full color, neat line to neat line: 56 x 101 cm; overall sheet size: 58 x 102.5 cm, folded into original blind-stamped brown cloth covers (15.5 x 10 cm), title stamped in gilt on upper cover: New Sectional Map of Nebraska; on inside front cover of pocket folder is a broadside printed on yellow paper (14.7 x 9.5): United States Census by Counties of the State of Nebraska 1880…. Lower joint of pocket folder split but strong, a few clean, short tears at folds (no losses), overall fine, with vivid coloring. No copies located by OCLC.

     Not in standard sources or Baskes and Rumsey, although Modelski (Railroad Maps of the United States 249) lists an 1886 edition. The map shows Nebraska in a grid pattern (numbered 1-36) with named and colored sections, along with parts of Wyoming, Colorado (including Denver), Kansas, Missouri, and Dakota. Rail lines include Union Pacific (with branch lines), Colorado Central R.R., Denver Rio Grande R.R., Burlington & Missouri River R.R., St. Joseph & Denver R.R., etc. Cities, forts, ranches, Indian reservations, ranches, rivers and lakes, buttes and peaks are located.
