Hinges cracked, but strong, else a fine, bright copy preserved in a custom cloth slipcase. Contemporary engraved bookplate of Edward M. Crane.

Pingenot: A narrative of the regiment’s activity beginning in 1855 with a march to Texas, and continuing service in Texas until 1861. Later the regiment saw service in Nebraska, in Arizona against the Apaches, and in the Indian Wars of the Plains from the Canadian River to the Yellowstone in Montana. An important source concerning U.S. military in the American West.
