This is probably the first official printing of casualties from the battles. Includes casualties at Contreras and Churubusco (pp. -14), El Molino del Rey on September 8, 1847 (pp. 15-25), and casualties for Chapultepec and Mexico City, September 13 and 14, 1847 (pp. 26-37). The records are often quite detailed, even revealing the exact nature of wounds. As appalling as these casualty lists may be, Mexican losses were far greater.
