First edition. Not in usual Mexican-American War sources.

Signed and dated in type Anaya (with his rubric), Querétero, January 26, 1848. Relates to the reorganization of the military immediately after the Mexican government evacuated Mexico City. Specifically controls how many aides, etc., that are necessary for various officers and offices (e.g., “Para las secretarías de los generales de ejército habrá un gefe secretario, y cinco oficiales”). This is in fulfillment of the law of November 5, 1847 (q.v.).
